Governor of Khabarovsky Krai

Vyacheslav Shport

Dear friends!

Welcome to the Far East Street festival! In our pavilion you will find information on the Khabarovsky krai rich natural resources and high technologies. No chance our region is called the birthplace of aircraft and whales. The Khabarovsky krai marking 80 years this year is the principal industrial center of the Far East. Here we are producing state-of-the art military and civil aircraft and water craft. Critical in develop- ing the engineering thought is the fifth generation aircraft, the SU-57 stealth fighter also manufactured in the Khabarovsky krai.

In our region you find true nature wonders: the Amut high-altitude lake, the Dusse-Alin Range, the mysterious Sikachi-Alyan petroglyphs (rock images), Nelumbo (lotus) of Red Book, and Amur tiger. You will get to know the traditions of low-number indigenous peoples and taste the Far Eastern delicacies. One of the krai main sights is the remote Shantar islands. Whales come here to their breeding place.

The Khabarovsky krai is an area where unique national projects are being implemented. The Far Eastern Hectare, Territories of Advanced Development and Free Port, the long-term Komsomolsk-na-Amure development – all these are “pilot” format projects to take the Far East up to a new level and improve the living standards.

Glad to say you are welcome to visit the Khabarovsky krai! Happy to host you here!
