Khabarovsky Krai is one of the largest and most distinctive regions of Russia. Its economy developed because it made use of its competitive advantages: abundant and varied natural resources, an advantageous economic and geographical position, and the high educational level of the population.
The Sukhoi Superjet 100, the Russian regional aircraft, is produced in Khabarovsky Krai.
Khabarovsky Krai is the only constituent entity of the Russian Federation where tin is mined; it ranks second in Russia by volume of platinum extracted, and seventh by volume of gold extracted.
The natural world of Khabarovsky Krai cannot be compared with that of any other region of Russia. The greater part of its territory is covered by forests and taiga with distinctive flora and fauna.
The Khabarovsky Krai exposition symbolizes a high-tech approach with a focus on the Krai's advanced industrial production in combination with its unique natural and climatic conditions.
The outside part of the pavilion is made of natural materials, responsibly produced wood, and designer moss.
A unique feature of the Khabarovsky Krai Pavilion will be an arch stretching across the embankment. On the second level of the arch, a scenic over- look with seats will be provided for the guests. Here, visitors will be able to taste products from Khabarovsky Krai.
Guests will also have the chance to make a memorable souvenir with the use of real aviation equipment. Each visitor who assembles a souvenir, will receive an aircraft industry worker certificate.
