Director of the Representative Office of the Korea Tourism Organization in Vladivostok Cho Yoonmi
The Republic of Korea is geographically located very close to the Far East of Russia. The route takes only 2 hours from Vladivostok, 3 hours from Khabarovsk and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, 4 hours from Yakutsk. This geographical availability explains the active development in the field of trade, logistics and tourism exchange in comparison with other regions.
After 5 months, the Winter Olympic Games 2018 will be held in Pyeongchang, Gangwon-do province, which is the closest to the Far East. Using the charter flights Vladivostok-Yangyang, Khabarovsk-Yangyang, it will be possible to reach the venue of the Olympics for only 3-4 hours. We hope that many Far Eastern people will take advantage of this opportunity.
We are very pleased that the Korea Tourism Organization is able to represent the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang on the "Street of the Far East" at the Third Eastern Economic Forum. Participants of the forum, as well as citizens and guests of the city, can experience in mini-curling and ski-jumping with virtual reality glasses, take part in master classes, and learn information about tickets for the Olympics.
See you in Pyeongchang!
